At Women’s Charities of Maryland, Inc., our mission is to uplift and empower women and families by providing vital resources, guidance, and support. We are dedicated to helping every family build stability, confidence, and opportunity to thrive within their community.
President and Founder
Professional Bio – Mary D. Price, BA, CCHW
Mary D. Price, BA, CCHW, is the Founder and President of Women’s Charities of Maryland, Inc., a nonprofit serving women and children across Maryland for 28 years. A native of Baltimore, she is married, with one son, a daughter-in-law, and four grandchildren.
Mary retired from the Maryland Department of Health in 2021 as a Program Administrator, bringing more than 30 years of experience in income maintenance, case management, contract monitoring, and grant development. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County and is a certified Community Health Worker.
Her leadership experience includes serving as vice chair of the Maryland Caregivers Support Resource Coordination Council, participation on the United Healthcare Community Advisory Board, and active involvement in local community associations. She also serves as a grant writer and member of MSBC Five Star Programs, Inc., and co-leads the MSBC Caregivers Support Ministry at Morning Star Baptist Church.
In addition to her professional work, Mary has over 20 years of experience as a bridal consultant and has held several faith-based leadership roles. She enjoys church volunteering, family gatherings, bowling, and listening to gospel and jazz music.
Mary’s guiding scripture is Galatians 5:22–23, which centers her commitment to love, kindness, and service. She believes in offering hope through daily positive actions and remains dedicated to serving those most in need.
